In order for me to get pics like that I’m always out and about and on the run. Most of the time the pics for the portraits are being taken right after soundcheck and before door opening at the location of the gig on the day of the show. The possibility of shooting pics backstage is often used as well. The shooting itself is done in about 5 minutes most of the time. After that we have some really cool pics already except of the ones with special requests.
Afterwards when most of the equipment is secured and out of the way I accompany the drummer during his/her live performance. It would be perfect to be there the entire show and get a nice close up so I’m not limited by time and I can max out the potential to shoot from different angles and capture the best possible moments to get the best quality. That’s how the „live in action“ pic is generated. This project incorporates all of my passion, heart and soul for photography combined with music. These pics can be used for many purposes by the drummer.
